Your missions
As part of the Funds team, you will be involved in a wide range of regulatory and fund-related matters, including:
- Managing fund setups from start to finish — from structuring and launch to handling complex closings, including side letter review and the drafting of legal opinions.
- Conducting investor due diligence, including the review of fund documentation, preparation of due diligence reports, and support during negotiations of fund documents, side letters, and legal opinions.
- Advising on broader regulatory work, such as the setup and registration of MiFID firms, AIFMs, Depositaries, or Fund Administrators.
- Collaborating closely with experienced lawyers, contributing to innovative legal strategies while continuously expanding your technical and regulatory expertise.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, including the supervision of trainees and active participation in developing the team’s talent.
- Working in a structured and supportive environment that values professional growth, teamwork, and excellence.
Your ideal profile
- Registered with the Luxembourg Bar or a foreign EU Bar.
- Experienced, with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience as a funds lawyer and/or in a significant in-house legal position in Luxembourg.
- Knowledgeable, with an excellent understanding of funds regulation and relevant Luxembourg legislation.
- Skilled, with strong project management abilities and proven experience in setting up regulated and unregulated funds, including communication and coordination with the CSSF.
- Bilingual or multilingual, with excellent command of English (written and spoken) and fluency in French; knowledge of German would be a strong asset.
- Organised and efficient, able to prioritise and manage multiple projects, delegating tasks appropriately.
- Open-minded and adaptable, capable of working autonomously in a fast-paced environment, and eager to leverage technology to enhance efficiency.
